National Worship Leader Conference 2014
Premiere Event to Train and Equip Worship Leaders
Coming to the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex on February 24-27
The National Worship Leader Conference (NWLC) is coming to the Dallas Forth Worth area February 24-27. Founded in 2007 to help churches foster an understanding of worship’s biblical foundations and meet the practical production and skill needs of all who bring the service of worship to their congregations, the conference is being hosted at Bent Tree church in Carrollton, Texas.
The conference offers over 80 unique workshop choices (plus MP3s of every workshop available to attendees at no additional charge). Individual classes are designed especially for worship leaders, pastors, musicians, vocalists, multimedia artists, tech teams, songwriters, choir members and directors, visual artist, and youth and children’s worship leaders.
The week will kick off with the Songwriters Creative Pre-conference on Monday afternoon from 12:30 – 4:00 pm, with the official conference beginning that evening at 7:00 pm. The first night of worship features a keynote by Grammy-winning artist and missional leader Marcos Witt followed by worship from Here Be Lions (Jennie Lee Riddle, Michael Farren and Dustin Smith), and award-winning artist and composer Nicole C. Mullen.
The National Worship Leader Conference schedule features three general sessions with seven keynote speakers—internationally famed thought leaders, authors, scholars, and local pastors—including Leonard Sweet, Marva Dawn, Pete Briscoe, Ron Allen, among others. There are three nights of Worship comprising artists such as Meredith Andrews, Digital Age, Gateway Worship, Tommy Walker, Cantos de Albanza, All Sons & Daughters, Tim Timmons, Evan Wickham, One Sonic Society, and more (plus an opportunity for attendees to perform as part of the conference choir).
This year, there is a nightly Song Discovery in the Round where renowned songwriters and artists Jennie Lee Riddle, plus Tim Timmons and Rita Springer will co-host on successive nights with Dove Award winning Producer and Song Discovery A&R Phil Sillas. They will introduce new songs for worship sung by those who wrote them.
Attendees will also have access to over 30 leading worship related exhibitors who furnish a hands-on up close and personal introduction to everything from instruments, to software, mixing/recording/sound equipment, mics, resources, training and more.
